Relay Services are used to define how file transfers (e.g., for phone firmware upgrades and 46xxsettings.txt settings file), and PPM data downloads are routed to the Remote Worker endpoints. Both, HTTP and HTTPS, protocols are supported. Avaya recommends the use of “Reverse Proxy” for Configuration file and PPM data downloads, Application Relay should not be used. Application Relay is recommended for XMPP data downloads (Presence server).
