Selected Answer: B
Cube utilization is the measure that effectively evaluates overall resources in a distribution warehouse, as it directly assesses how well the warehouse space is utilized in terms of volume and efficiency.

Selected Answer: A
Throughput measures the total volume of inventory (units or value) processed through the warehouse in a specific period. This considers both storage capacity and operational efficiency. It reflects the warehouse's overall productivity and ability to handle incoming and outgoing goods. A high throughput indicates effective utilization of resources, including space, equipment, and labor. While the other options provide valuable pieces of information: Cube utilization: Measures how effectively the warehouse's storage space is being used, but doesn't account for operational efficiency. Filled pallet positions: Indicates space utilization to some extent, but doesn't reflect the value or processing speed of the stored goods. Labor efficiency: Focuses on individual worker productivity, but doesn't take into account overall resource utilization of the warehouse environment.

right answer is B Cube utilization refers to the measurement of how efficiently a warehouse is using its available space (in terms of volume). It is an important metric to evaluate overall resources in a distribution warehouse, as it takes into account the storage capacity and the effective use of space. A higher cube utilization indicates that a warehouse is using its space more efficiently, allowing for better storage and handling of goods. Although throughput (A), filled pallet positions (C), and labor efficiency (D) are important metrics for various aspects of warehouse performance, they do not provide a comprehensive evaluation of overall resources in a distribution warehouse as cube utilization does.

Cubic utilization speaks of space optimization. Whether that leads to improved productivity is an assumption that need not be true. Imagine a warehouse 15 meters high, 95% cube-optimized. Do you think it is productive to pick products at that height? A is the correct answer.
