Failing to see how netstat is the right answer. Question is asking for OS Info too, I can not find a way to find OS info with netstat. NMAP can do everything the question is asking for however.

For a specific recommendation, Nmap is particularly well-suited for a comprehensive scan that covers operating system details, running services, and open ports on a server. Its ability to perform both host discovery and port scanning makes it a versatile tool for network administrators and security professionals alike.

This is one of those questions where if you ask ChatGPT, it will give you one answer the first time then will give you another if you ask the same question a second time

Netstat doesn't directly infer OS info, unless you see something like port 3389 (RDP) then you won't know the OS

Selected Answer: D
The correct answer is D. netstat. Netstat (network statistics) is a command-line tool used to display network connections, routing tables, interface statistics, masquerade connections, and multicast memberships. It provides information about the network connections (both incoming and outgoing), routing tables, and network interface statistics, which can help the systems administrator in understanding the operating system information, running services, and network ports that are available on the server.
