Selected Answer: D
Option D is the correct answer as it directly aligns with the potential benefit of ensuring business continuity through AVD service deployments by safely testing preview features in a validation environment.

Validation environment affects the deployment of the AVD Agent software, and causes preview versions to get deployed rather than the typical monthly general releases. It's definitely D (Azure Site Recovery has nothing to do with this, it's for DR)

I ran into some conitunity problems in a production enviroment, while the hostpool was set to validation mode [yes]. The issue was related to [Start on VM at connect] We figuered out that the issues was caused by the agent version. When we manally rolled back the agent version the function became available again. I've contacted Microsoft for the issues and the stated the following: Cause: Know issue When Validation environment on Host pool is set to true (this only should be set for testing environments). Resolution: Set Validation Environment to false (this is the recommended option in production environments) Therefor I'm with answer [D]

the question doesnt mention site recovery, so its more likely its referring to testing patching in the validation environment than full disaster recovery.

Selected Answer: D
"You don't have a validation environment enabled in this subscription. When you made your host pools, you selected No for "Validation environment" in the Properties tab. To ensure business continuity through Azure Virtual Desktop service deployments, make sure you have at least one host pool with a validation environment where you can test for potential issues.”

Having said the above, rereading the question, it asks what you can validate by implemening the validation environment - What can you validate by implementing the recommendations? You should only do full disaster recovery tests during a maintenance window to not disrupt your users. You can also use a host pool in the validation environment for the test. So C is probably correct. Any testing can be done in the validation.....

c is wrong, D is right https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-desktop/create-validation-host-pool?tabs=azure-portal Validation host pools let you monitor service updates before the service applies them to your standard or non-validation environment.
